“Fun-Fair”

Saturday the 6th of September at 5 pm, Valgerdur Gudlaugsdottir opens a private exhibition at Galleri Hlemmur.
“…drift amongst the crowd, - hear the sound of tunes in the air circling ‘round and ‘round. Feel how the stomach tickles when earths-force looses grip of the body, -let loud screams burst out and blend with primitive choirs, or give in, to panic and terror that fills the air. Wipe out all pink paper-ducks that then, just moments after, rise from death…”
Valgerdur’s installation offers guests to entertain themselves.
Valgerdur graduated for The Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts in the year 1994 and has since worked as an artist, now with the aid of 2-year government Art-grant.
Galleri Hlemmur also celebrates it's 4th years birthday this month.
Gallerí Hlemmur is open Wednesday through Sunday 2-6 pm.
